I'm Staecy, maker behind Dogs Of Town. I learned to sew and embroider through watching videos during the pandemic. Sewing machines had always looked challenging and really, had no prior desire to sew until I thought about making local bandanas for my dogs. Soon after purchasing my first sewing machine, Dogs Of Town began. The possibilities of what one can create from re-use and upcycling are endless! I hope to share some of that with you. Having always been an animal lover and artistic, sewing fun finds has combined these into a surprisingly new passion.
Working alongside my two rescues, I handcraft custom dog neckwear made from quality worn denim, organic/natural hemp and remnant fabric. Sourcing well-made used jeans, beautiful fabric, natural fibers and textile waste is a constant. Discontinued material and offcuts are often used for patchwork.
Neckwear is designed around each dog, sewn one-by-one with focus on small details. Products are carefully stitched and sewn in small batches for all dog breeds. Locally-themed and custom pieces are made to order in Franklin, Tennessee.
